A Shelton man was arrested in connection with a string of residential burglaries that took place in several towns during 2015.
On Feb. 23 Shelton Police Department arrested Kevin Lesko, 48, of Shelton and charged him with larceny third degree, burglary third degree, and criminal mischief in the third degree.
Lesko’s arrest was made following a rash of residential burglaries in 2015. Police departments from Orange, Trumbull, Stratford, Milford, Monroe, Woodbridge, and Shelton Police Department worked together to link Lesko to several burglaries, which occurred during the same period of time.
Lesko is currently incarcerated and was arrested at Derby Superior Court House. He was placed on a $15,000 bond following his Shelton arrest. Lesko was arraigned on Feb. 23.
According to a statement sent out by Detective Nugent of the Shelton Police department, residents are encouraged to contact their local Police Department if they observe suspicious vehicles or activity in their neighborhoods. Residents should also, “set their alarms if applicable, lock their doors, and take preventative steps to deter their residence from being a target of a burglary.”
