Boys swim: Shelton sets school records at SCCs

The Shelton High School boys swim team set five school records on Wednesday night at the SCC Swimming and Diving Championships at Southern Connecticut State University.

The Gaels finished eighth overall with 398 points. Fairfield Prep won the meet for the 12th straight season.

Top performers were as follows:

Reid Chavez: 200 IM (4th) 2:03.03 (school record), 100 Butterfly (4th) 54.22 (school record)

Hunter Wronski: 500 Freestyle (6th) 4:54.75, 100 Breaststroke (4th) 1:01.20 (school record)

200 Medley Relay: Marc Maleri, Hunter Wronski, Jack Marciano, Reid Chavez (7th) 1:45.56 (school record)

400 Freestyle Relay: Reid Chavez, Sebastian Musante, Marc Maleri, Hunter Wronski (6th) 3:30.27 (school record)
