The first annual Max’s Shamrock 5K Run & Walk will take place from Maxwell’s American Grille Saturday, March 12, at 9 a.m.
Hosted by Maxwell’s Restaurant (2415 Main St.), and directed by MS Running Productions, this new 3.1 mile event will benefit the Stratford Police PAL.
Registered participants will receive a specially designed tech shirt, a goody bag, plenty of post run/walk food including corn beef sliders, drinks & beer for those 21 and older (ID required).
The 5K course is flat and travels through Stratford’s historic district, along the Housatonic Harbor, around the Shakespeare Theatre, and finishes back downtown. All levels of participants are encouraged to join in.
Awards and prizes are available for overall and top age group finishers. There will be a free 1/10 mile kids run at 8:45 a.m. — weather permitting.
Adults 21 and over are $30, all others 20 and under are $18 when pre-registering.
Registration and pre-registration pickup will be held Friday, March 11, from 1-6 p.m. at Maxwell’s American Grille. Race day registration starts at 8 a.m.
