Shelton Fire incident Responses

On March 15 at 01:16 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #114 Park Avenue for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On March 15 at 4:30 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 north bound just at exit 14. One engine and two rescue trucks responded.

 

On March 16 at 8:41 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #375 Woodridge in the Aspetuck Condo Complex off Shelton Avenue to assist EMS with gaining access to the home. One engine responded.

 

On March 17 at 3:59 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to the Birmingham Condo’s at #145 Canal Street for water leaking into an apartment. One engine responded.

 

On March 17 at 10:06 am the Echo hose H & L Co. #1, Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at Modern Plastics at #88 Long Hill Cross Road. Upon arrival and investigation firefighters found a warehouse filled with smoke. Firefighters determined the smoke was from a burnt belt on a compressor motor. Three engines, one ladder truck and one tower truck responded.

 

On March 17 at 11 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bridgeport Avenue near Blacks Hill Road. One engine and one tower truck responded.

 

On March 17 11:22 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1, Huntington Co. #3 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #53 basking Ridge Road for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine responded.

 

On March 17 at 11:52 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to #180 Bridgeport Avenue for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. One engine responded.

 

On March 17 at 6:18 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #8 Sunset Drive for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. Two engines responded.

 

On March 18 at 5:32 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at # 665 River Road. There was no fire. The cause of the alarm was from smoke from cooking. Two units responded.

 

On March 19 at 9:38 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the White Hill Co. #5 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from #45 Little Fawn Drive. There was no fire. Steam from a shower activated a smoke detector. Two engines responded.

 

 

On March 19 at 10:52 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of an electrical fire at #10 Chamberlain Drive. Upon arrival firefighters found a malfunction in a ceiling light caused a short circuit an odor of smoke in the home. The fixture was removed. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On March 20 at 10:40 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 northbound just past exit 12. One engine and one rescue truck responded.

 

On March 20 at 1:27 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to the Shoreline Veterinary Hospital at #895 Bridgeport Avenue for a report of smoke in the building. Firefighters arrived and found the odor was from mulch smoldering on the outside of the building. The fire was extinguished. Two engines and one tower truck responded.

 

On March 20 at 4:07 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #68 Wakelee Avenue Extension for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. The alarm was transmitted accidentally. One engine and one ladder truck responded.
