Shelton fire department incident responses

On March 21 at 12:45 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #109 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. Steam from a shower activated a smoke detector. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On March 24 at 2:26 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1, White Hills Co. #5 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #223 Canal Street. Upon arrival firefighters detected an odor of burning in the four story building. Further investigation found a fire had occurred in a clothes dryer in a basement occupancy. Damage was confined to the clothing. Two engines, one ladder truck and one tower truck responded.

 

On March 24 at 5:26 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 northbound near exit 11. Two engines and one rescue truck responded.

 

On March 24 at 9:22 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of an outside fire on Birchbank Road. One engine responded.

 

On March 26 at 00:28 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #55 Soundridge Road. There was no fire. The cause of the alarm was not reported. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On March 26 at 1:21 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from #38 Canfield Drive. There was no fire. Steam from a shower activated a smoke detector. Two engines responded.

 

On March 26 at 1:40 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #5 Hamilton Drive to assist EMS with a patient evacuation.  One rescue truck responded.

 

On March 26 at 1:45 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose H & L Co. 31 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from the Marriott Residence Inn at #1001 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. The cause of the alarm was not reported. Two engines, one ladder truck and one tower truck responded.

 

On March 26 at 8:21 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a mutual aid call at a structure fire at #275 Caroline Street in Derby. One tower truck responded to the scene and one ladder truck covered Derby at the Storm Engine Company.
