Robert D. Crowther Sr., age 49 of Seymour, formerly of Shelton, beloved husband of Catherine Burritt Crowther, passed away December 25, 2012 at Hilltop Health Center, Ansonia.
Robert was born in Derby, June 2, 1963, son of the late Raymond Sr. and Ruth Estabrook Crowther.
During his life, Mr. Crowther worked as a truck driver for Warner Enterprises where he enjoyed traveling on the road and visiting 48 states.
Robert was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who loved having a very good time on the holidays with his family, especially his grandson. He was an avid fisherman and was a big fan of Michigan and Yale football. He loved his dogs Sasha and Cheech. He always wanted everyone to be happy.
Besides his wife, he is surived by sons, Justin of Shelton, Robert Jr. of Seymour, and Travis of Bridgeport; his little angel Aiden Collins; a brother Kenneth of Ansonia; sisters, Linda Lombardi of Derby, Kathy Borzelli and Patricia Crowther of Maine and Renee Murphy of Jasper, Florida and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by brothers, Raymond Jr. and Craig Crowther.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. in the JAMES T. TOOHEY & SON FUNERAL HOME, 92 HOWE AVE., SHELTON. Burial will immediately follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, 117 Mountain Road, Seymour. Calling hours will be held from 9 A.M. until time of service.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral director.
