On April 4 at 4:30 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a report of overhead power wires arcing at Pennsylvania Avenue and Mohegan Road. Firefighters found a tree on power lines was the reason for the call. One engine responded.

 

On April 4 at 6:00 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of power wires down in the road in the area of #6 Millbrook Lane. Upon arrival firefighters determined the wires were for cable tv not power. One engine responded.

 

On April 4 at 6:47 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #38 Poplar Drive for a report of open burning. Firefighters arrived and found no open burning but an outdoor furnace being used. One engine responded.

 

On April 5 at 8:09 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Longhorn Steakhouse at #838 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. the alarm was accidentally activated during a test of the alarm system. One engine responded.

 

On April 5 at 12:41 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #11 Galen Road. There was no fire. One engine responded.

 

On April 5 at 9:08 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to #24 Rivendell Drive for a broken water pipe in a residence. One engine responded.

 

On April 6 at 9:56 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #315 Buddington Road for a broken water pipe from the home. One engine responded.

 

On April 6 at 2:45 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an open burning in the woods near the Sunnyside Boat Ramp off River Road. One engine responded.

 

On April 6 at 9:11 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to an open burning at #175 Waverly Road. The fire was extinguished without incident. One engine responded.

 

On April 7 at 11:10 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #48 Lucille Drive for a possible carbon monoxide problem. Firefighters arrived but found no problems. Ems was called for the occupant. One engine responded.

 

On April 8 at 10:13 am the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from #75 Old Dairy Lane. There was  no fire. Dust from construction activated a smoke detector. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On April 8 at 6:57 pm the Huntington Co. #3, White Hills Co. #5 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to as chimney fire at #46 Christine Drive. No further information was reported regarding the call. Two engines and one ladder truck responded.

 

On April 9 at 4:45 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a small brush fire at #704 Bridgeport Avenue. One engine responded.

 

On April 10 at 12:47 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #412 Wooded Lane. There was no fire. the cause of the alarm was not reported. One engine responded.

 

On April 10 at 20:14 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a report of smoke coming from behind the building at Casa Nova Restaurant at #833 River Road. There was no fire. The smoke was from normal operations of a wood burning oven used in the restaurant. One engine responded.
