Boys lacrosse: Shelton Gaels defeat Foran Lions

The Shelton High boys lacrosse team rolled to its sixth straight victory, a 12-8 win over Foran High,on Friday night at Finn Stadium in Shelton.

Jim Botti scored five goals and Kyle McInnis added two, including his school record 70th, as the Gaels improved their record to 6-4.

Brandon Van Aiken also had a pair of goals for Shelton, who after leading 4-2 at halftime, broke the game open in the second half.

Jake Lambert and Lance DiNatale each scored twice for Foran, which saw its record drop to 3-6.

Shelton outshot Foran, 35-18.

Austin Phillips had two saves for the Lions, as did Tim Schiffer for the Gaels.
