Alfred J. Mackowski, 74, of Shelton, husband of Sylvia Elia Mackowski, died Dec. 25.
Son of the late Alfred M. and Regina (Simonu) Mackowski, he was born July 26, 1938 in Derby.
He was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, a graduate of the Assumption School and the Pine High School.
Mr. Mackowski was employed as a manufacturing engineer for Sargent Manufacturing in New Haven until his retirement.
He was a member of the Valley Council K of C #23.
Besides his wife, survivors include daughters, Mrs. James (Laura) Filo of Seymour; Mrs. Matthew (Christa) Ryan of Woodbury and Diane Mackowski of Southbury; a brother, Donald Mackowski of Hamden; a sister, Regina Shastokas of West Haven; grandchildren, Lalah Marie Ryan, James Alfred Filo and Logan Patrick Filo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Mackowski.
Visiting hours are Friday, Dec. 28, 4-7 p.m., Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N. Cliff Street, Ansonia. Services, Saturday, Dec. 29, 9 a.m., from the funeral home for a mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 at the Church of the Assumption.
