On April 25 at 7:32 am the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #107 East Village Road for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. Firefighters found smoke from a self cleaning oven operation caused the alarm. Two engines responded.

 

On April 25 at 1:47 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the White Hill Co. #5 responded to the William Ravies Real Estate Building at #7 Traps Falls Road. There was no fire. The alarm was accidentally transmitted during a test of the system. One engine responded.

 

On April 25 at 3:07 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. # 1 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the First Niagra Bank at #704 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. A faulty detector was the cause. One engine and one tower truck responded.

 

On April 26 at 11:50 the fire department responded to # 9 Sunset Drive to assist the homeowner with a public service call regarding a construction issue. One unit responded.

 

On April 26 at 4:55 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Center Stage #54 Grove Street. There was no fire. The alarm was caused when a child accidentally pulled a fire alarm box. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On April 26 at 6:28 the fire department responded to #49 Elm Street to secure a well opening on the property. One unit responded.

 

On April 26 at 8:50 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Hewitt Memorial Hospital #45 Maltby Street. There was no fire. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On April 27 at 4:57 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Center Stage #54 Grove Street. There was no fire. The cause of the alarm was not determined. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On April 27 at 10:38 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Mohegan Road near Clinton Drive. The accident caused a power outage after a vehicle struck a utility pole. Two engines and one rescue truck responded.

 

On April 28 at 2:54 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Bridgeport Avenue and Old Stratford Road. One engine responded.

 

On April 29 at 12:25 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #14 Ridge Lane. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On April 29 at 1:57 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #130 Buddington Road for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine responded.

 

On April 30 at 10:56 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #72 Chapel Street in Derby to assist with smoke in a building. One rescue truck and one ladder truck responded.

 

On April 30 at 8:06 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a report of a tree that fell on a house at #138 Maltby Street. Firefighters arrived and found minimal damage from the tree. Two engines and one ladder truck responded.

 

On May 1 at 8:16 am the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a public service call on How Avenue at Bridge Street. One ladder truck responded.

 

On May 1 at 7:01 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a report of smoke coming from a condo unit at #17 Crow’s Nest Road. There was no fire. Steam from a dryer vent caused the call. Two engines responded.

 

On May 1 at 8:44 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Marriott Residence Inn at #1001 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. Steam from a shower caused the alarm. Two engines, one rescue truck and one ladder truck responded.
