A round of Humanity Hates Trump and State Sen. talks budget

CT Pulse, a show on politics, what’s trending in the Constitution state and more, airs Wednesdays at 12:30. Watch it on demand later, or see this week’s show below:

Trumbull Times Editor Steve Coulter joins Kate and Josh this week for a round of the card game, Humanity Hates Trump. Howard Greenspan, president and owner of Trumbull-based SCS Direct Inc., went to court last week to file a lawsuit against Cards Against Humanity, LLC under Connecticut’s Unfair Trade Practices Act. We discuss the game and the media attention it has received.

State Sen. Tony Hwang (center) with CT Pulse hosts Joshua Fisher and Kate Czaplinski.

Later, State Sen. Tony Hwang  (R-28) discusses the Legislative session and the now ongoing budget process. Hwang gives his take on what needs to change up in Hartford.

Later, we take a look at some stories we are following, including the CT GOP banning a reporter from its convention — later taking it back. We also discuss the results of both the Republican and Democratic convention.

Cartoonist Doug Smith also shares his take on the week’s news.

CT Pulse is hosted by Kate Czaplinski and Josh Fisher, both former Connecticut newspaper editors. Josh is HAN’s executive producer and Kate is news director. Watch it live, Wednesday’s at 12:30.
