Bridges by EPOCH programs on memory challenges, dementia

Dementia artworkBridges by EPOCH at Trumbull, located at 2415 Reservoir Ave. in Trumbull, will host the following programs:

 

Dementia and Depression — Thursday, June 9 at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Discussion of the relationship between dementia and depression, including symptoms to look for, possible treatments and simple things you can do to help your loved one.

 

Memory Café: Caregiver Support Group — For caregivers of a loved one with memory challenges on Thursday, June 23 at noon. Taking care of a loved one with memory challenges is difficult. Join their monthly caregiver support group to share your caregiving story while also hearing the stories of others on the same journey. Lunch will be served.

 

Understanding Various Forms of Dementia — Thursday, June 23 at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. They will discuss the many types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body, vascular and frontotemporal dementias, and learn how to best respond to their unique demands and behaviors

 

Family members and loved ones of those with memory loss are welcome to attend, but space is limited. Call 203-397-6800 to RSVP or for more information.
