White Hills Fire Company # 5 firefighters under the direction of Lieutenant Dan McCue extinguishing a car fire on East Village Road by Ridgefield Dr.

 

On May 15 at 10:32 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of an odor in the home at #84 Mohegan Road. Firefighters arrived and as a result of checking the home found a leak in a propane supply line to a kitchen stove caused the odor. One engine, one rescue truck and one ladder truck responded.

 

On May 16 at 1:07 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to #6 Heather Ridge for an automatic fire alarm sounding.  There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. One engine responded and one rescue truck responded.

 

On May 16 at 1:59 pm the echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #54 Grove Street for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On May 16 at 3:54 pm the Huntington Co. #3, White Hills Co. #5 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a large brush fire on Capitol Drive. Three engines, one brush truck, one tanker truck and one rescue truck responded.

 

On May 16 at 4:44 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1, White Hills Co. #5 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #579 Howe Avenue for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

 

On May 16 at 5:20 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident at Myrtle Street and Coram Avenue. One rescue truck responded.

 

On May 16 at 5:55 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a brush fire on Jennifer Court. Two engines responded.

 

On May 16 at 6:01 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to earl Street for a tree on power lines. One engine responded.

 

On May 16 at 7:57 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of #829 Bridgeport Avenue. One engine and two rescue trucks responded.

 

On May 16 at 8:25 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1, Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire in a kitchen stove at #19 Dogwood Lane. The fire was out upon arrival of firefighters. Two engines, one tower truck responded, and two ladder trucks responded.

 

On May 16 at 11:12 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident at Bridgeport Avenue at Sullivan Avenue. One engine responded.

 

On May 16 at 5:50 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Benchmark Senior Living at #708 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. A fire alarm pull station was accidentally activated by a resident. One engine and one tower truck responded.

 

On May 16 at 9:13 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #548 Asbury Ridge for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine responded.

 

On May 17 at 10:34 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from the ATT Store at #702 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. A faulty smoke detector caused the alarm. Two engines, one ladder truck and one tower truck responded.

 

On May 17 at 3:59 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a brush fire on Leavenworth Road just past Indian Well Road. One engine and one brush truck, and one tanker   responded.

 

On May 18 at 9:04 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Huntington Street and Commerce Drive. One engine responded.

 

On May 18 at 1:22 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1, Huntington Co. #3 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 southbound at exit 13. Two engines and three rescue trucks responded.

 

On May 18 at 5 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #40 Trolley Bridge Road for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. A faulty detector caused the alarm. One engine and two rescue trucks responded.

 

On May 19 at 11:29 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #10 Constitution Boulevard South for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. The alarm was accidentally transmitted during a fire drill. One engine responded.

 

On May 19 at 11:55 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from the Perkin Elmer Corporation #710 Bridgeport Avenue. Smoke from a motor in the building caused the alarm. Two engines and one ladder truck responded.

 

On May 19 at 3:51 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 northbound before exit 12. One engine responded and one rescue truck responded.

 

On May 20 at 1:34 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 northbound before exit 13. One engine and one rescue truck responded.

 

On May 21 at 11:14 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a motor vehicle accident in front of #348 Long Hill Avenue. Two engines and one rescue truck responded.

 

On May 22 at 6:30 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 southbound near exit 11. One engine and two rescue trucks responded.

 

On May 22 at 7:22 p.m the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to the Rear of #4 Arrowhead Lane for to investigate an unknown substance in a stream. One engine and one utility truck responded.

 

On May 23 at 6:04 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Helen DeVaux Housing Complex at #91 Howe Avenue. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. One unit responded.
