Boys lacrosse: Shelton falls to Darien

The Shelton High boys lacrosse team dropped a 22-1 decision to top-seeded Darien High on Wednesday afternoon.

Jack Gleason netted the 16th-seeded Gaels’ lone marker, with an assist from Nick Pavone. Goalkeeper Tim Schiffer made 19 saves.

Shelton finished its season at 10-8 overall.

Colin Minicus and Kevin Lindley had four goals apiece for the Blue Wave (20-0).

Darien will face No. 9 seed Fairfield Ludlowe in the second round.
