Firefighter Andrew Toth of Echo Hose H & L Co. # 1 placing equipment back into Squad 1 after a minor car fire on Meadow Street.

On 05/31/16 at 6:48 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose H and L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from #1000 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. Two engines, one ladder truck and one tower truck responded.

 

On 06/01/16 at 04:09 am the Echo Hose H and L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #39 Rivendell Drive for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine responded.

 

On 06/01/16 at 3:27 pm the Echo Hose H and L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at # 51 Richards Boulevard. There was no fire. One engine responded.

 

On 06/01/16 at 6:49 pm the Huntington Co. #3, White Hills Co. #5, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to a report of a house fire at #360 Nichols Avenue. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire had occurred on a kitchen stove after baby bottles being heated ignited. The home sustained minor smoke damage. Three engines and one ladder truck responded.

 

On 06/02/16 at 10:55 pm the Echo Hose H and L Co. #1 responded to a report of a fire in a car on Bodyk Place. Upon arrival firefighters found a small fire had occurred in a vehicle that was caused by an explosive device. The incident is under investigation by the fire marshal and police. One rescue truck responded.

 

On 06/02/16 at 11:15 pm the Echo Hose H and L Co. #1 responded to the area of Perry Avenue for an open burning. One rescue truck responded.

 

On 06/02/16 at 11:40 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of a firework exploding on a vehicle. Upon arrival firefighters found an explosive device was placed in the vehicle exhaust pipe and ignited causing damage to the vehicle. One engine and one rescue truck responded.

 

On 06/03/16 at 8:19 am the Huntington Co. #3 and White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of an odor of gasoline in the basement at #172 Ripton Road. Firefighters found the odor was caused by a leaking part on a pressure washer stored in the basement. Two engines responded.

 

On 06/03/16 at 4:02 pm the Echo Hose H and L CO. #1 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #372 Papere Ridge in the Sunwood Condo Complex. There was no fire. Two engines and a ladder truck responded.

 

On 06/04/16 at 8:59 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to # 289 Nichols Avenue for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. The cause of the alarm was not reported. Three engines responded.

 

On 06/04/16 at 10:15 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Nichols Avenue in the area of Isinglass Road. Two engines, one rescue truck and one utility truck responded.

 

On 06/05/16 at 08:54 am the Echo Hose H and Co. # 1 and the Huntington Co. # 3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 8 north bound near Exit 14. Two engines and one rescue truck responded.

 

On 06/06/16 at 4:54 pm the Echo Hose H and L Co. # 1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. # 4 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at Unit #13 at the Helen DeVaux Housing Complex at #91 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking food caused the alarm. One engine responded.
