Obituary: Carl J. Leonzi Sr., 73, of Trumbull

Carl J. Leonzi Sr., 73, of Trumbull, husband of Gail Campoli Leonzi, died June 24, at home.

Born Nov. 2, 1942, in Bridgeport, son of the late Larry and Mary Kowalchik Leonzi; served 44 years as a patrolman and detective with the Bridgeport Police Department before retiring as a sergeant in the Narcotics Division.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Carl J. Leonzi Jr. and wife, Vicki of Shelton and Cheri Reardon and husband, Phil Sr. of Trumbull, six grandchildren, siblings, Larry Leonzi and his wife, Dee of Trumbull, Raymond Leonzi and his wife, Debbie of Trumbull, and Carol Capra and her husband, Joe of Wilmington, N.C., and many brothers-and sisters-in-laws, cousins and nieces and nephews.

Also predeceased by two sisters, Judy Silvestro and Elaine Leonzi.

Services: Tuesday, June 28, 11 a.m., St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
