On July 3 all Shelton Volunteer Fire Companies stood-by at the annual fireworks both around the event area and on the Housatonic River. During the stand-by firefighters in marine units on the river assisted several boaters with equipment problems. Several had to be towed to their docks.

On July 4 at 9:56 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm sounding at the Hewitt Hospital #45 Maltby Street. There was no fire. Two engines responded.

On July 4 at 10:57 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm sounding at the Sinsabaugh Heights Housing Complex at #187 Meadow Street. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. Two engines responded.

On July 5 at 10:13 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #223 Canal Street for an automatic fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. Smoke from a two motor activated the alarm. One engine responded.

On July 5 at 3:51 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to the Ripton Housing Complex at #423 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. an occupant of a unit left food cooking on the stove unattended while out of the unit. Smoke from the burnt food activated the alarm. Two engines and one ladder truck responded.

On July 5 at 4:39 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a brush fire on Nells Rock Road. One engine responded.

On July 5 at 8:17 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a report of smoke in the area of #223 Canal Street. Smoke from a campfire caused the call. One engine responded.

On July 6 at  9:16 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to #66 Newport Avenue for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

On July 7 at 00:29 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #9 Madison Avenue for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

On July 7 at 1:11 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to #28 Sunset Drive for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine responded.

On July 7 at 4:38 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a report of power wires down in the road in the area of #225 Booth Hill Road. One engine responded.

On July 7 at 4:58 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #59 Heather Ridge. There was no fire. One engine and one rescue truck responded.

On July 7 at 5:19 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a report of a power line down on an occupied vehicle in the area of #150 Maltby Street. No further information was reported.

On July 7 at 5:17 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a report of a power line down in the road in the area of  Long Hill Avenue and Wakelee Avenue. One engine responded.

On July 7 at 5:43 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #241 Coram Avenue for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine responded.

On July 7 at 10:22 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a power line down in the road in the area of #142 Maltby Street. One engine responded.

On July 8 at 5:23 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #11 Leavenworth Road. There was no fire. One engine responded.

On July 8 at 5:57 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #372 Papere Ridge Road. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. One engine responded.

On July 9 at 00:03 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding from #544 Mohave Circle. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. Two engines responded.

On July 9 at 03:54 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on River Road at Murphy’s Lane. One engine and one rescue truck responded.

On July 9 at 8:20 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #32 Bartlett Lane. There was no fire. One engine and one ladder truck responded.

On July 10 at 00:19 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #44 Bronson Drive for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. One engine and one rescue truck responded.

On July 10 at 8:07 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 northbound near exit 12. One engine and one rescue truck responded.

On July 10 at 9:48 pm the Eco Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to power lines down in the road in the area of #20 Beecher Avenue. One engine responded.
