Obituary: Charles F. Zeghibe, 82, of Waterbury, formerly of Shelton

Charles F. Zeghibe, 82, of Waterbury, formerly of Shelton, Conn. and Las Vegas, Nev., retired as a culinary teacher from Shelton High School, chef, manager and caterer, died July 7, at Yale New Haven Hospital, several days after suffering a stroke.

Born in Shelton, on Nov. 4, 1933, son of the late Saba and Evelyn (Aragi) Zeghibe; U.S. Army veteran, Korean Conflict.

Survived by two children, Matthew Zeghibe and Amelia Zeghibe with whom he lived, a sister, Rose Baccash of Milford, a nephew, Howard Baccash of Milford and friends Teresa, Peter and Ashley Scionti of Prospect.

Services: Saturday, July 16, 9:15 a.m., Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury; 10:30 a.m. St. Joseph’s Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby. Visiting hours: Friday, July 15, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
