Griffin Hospital will host a free talk about skin health and offer free skin cancer screenings on Mon., Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the hospital, 130 Division Street, Derby.
Plastic and reconstructive surgeon Mark Melendez, M.D., will present “Healthy Skin throughout the Ages,” a discussion on ways to improve, promote and protect healthy skin as well as the signs, symptoms and treatments for skin conditions such as skin cancer. The Griffin Hospital Valley Parish Nurses will conduct free facial skin cancer screenings for all attendees before and after the talk.
