Hazardous weather outlook issued for Fairfield County Saturday

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Saturday, with the possibility of severe thunderstorms in the afternoon to early evening hours. The main threat, according to the NWS, is from locally damaging straight-line winds.

Friday, the weather is expected to be sunny with a high near 87. Patchy fog and increasing clouds may appear after 3 a.m.

On Saturday, there’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms, and then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Otherwise, wit will be mostly cloudy with a high near 86. The chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday night, there is a 30% chance of showers before 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., the sky will gradually clear.

Sunday is predicted to be sunny, with a high near 84.
