Obituary: Charles W. “Bill” Ebert Jr., 91, of Trumbull

Charles W. “Bill” Ebert Jr., 91, of Trumbull, formerly of Norwalk, Redding and Shelton, top seller for Allstate Insurance Company, husband of the late Linda Craig Ebert, died Aug. 3, at Griffin Hospital, Derby.

Born in Hempstead, N.Y. April 27, 1925, to the late Charles William and Edna Martin Ebert; corporal U.S. Marine Corp; Iwo Jima survivor; Purple Heart recipient.

Survived by son, Douglas Ebert and his wife, Kathleen of Trumbull, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Also predeceased by his son, Stephen Ebert.

Services: Tuesday, Aug. 9, 11:30 a.m., Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Burial will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Visiting hours: Monday, 4-8 p.m., funeral home.
