The Common Bond Market is celebrating their 2nd anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept.11, between 12 and 6 pm. The independently-owned health food store, located at 40 Huntington St. Shelton, not only offers organic and conventional groceries, but also groceries geared towards individuals with special dietary needs. The store offers organic, conventional, and local produce, fresh store-made hot food, soups, sandwiches, health and beauty products, cleaning supplies, and naturopathic supplements.
The weekend long event is open to the public and admission is free. The event will have demonstrations of certain in store items, samples, coupons, giveaways, and a raffle for all of those who attend. We will also be offering free massages from Advanced Chiropractic and Rehabilitation in Shelton. Lastly we will be featuring our 1st place grand prize Chili from 2016’s Soupstock Music and Arts Festival.
About Common Bond Market:
The Common Bond Market has two similar underlying philosophies. The first is that food, good food, serves as a cohesive bond for families and communities. The second is that the local market is still an important idea in the age of the big box supermarkets. Locally grown produce, locally manufactured food and goods, and farmers’ markets are becoming more and more important for people as they realize that our relationship with food has become too distant. We plan to remedy that by providing products that consumers can trust and focus on through building strong local relationships.
