Obituary: Matthew A. “Butch” Deptula, 79, of Ansonia

Matthew A. “Butch” Deptula, 79, of Ansonia, raised in Shelton, retired from Avco Lycoming, parts/contracts Dept., husband of Mary Lou (Mace) Deptula, died Sept. 2.

Born on Feb. 10, 1937 at Griffin Hospital, son of the late Frank & Mary (Wrazien) Deptula; U.S. Army.

Predeceased by a brother, Frank Deptula.

Besides his wife, survivors include daughters, Mary Deptula and Kathleen Gonzalez, son, Matthew D. (Kathleen) Deptula, his sister, Patricia Randall, granddaughters Nicole

Brancato and Marissa & Jacky Gonzalez, grandsons Matthew & Ryan Deptula and many nieces & nephews.

Visiting hours:  Tuesday, Sept. 6, 4-7, Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia. Services: Wednesday, 10 a.m., Assumption Church, Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
