Very few American flags

Letter-to-the-EditorNEW

Yesterday was September 11th, the 15th Anniversary of day we will never forget.

I am fortunate to live in a lovely Town-home Community in Shelton.  As I drove and walked through it this past weekend I was disappointed to see that the American Flag was only displayed on a very few homes.  There were plenty of “Welcome Fall” and “Back to School” type decorative flags, but where was “Our Flag?”  Surely on a day of remembrance such as 9/11 it should not be forgotten.

I am so proud of my husband, a retired New York City Firefighter because he relayed this conversation to me last evening.  He was outside and when a neighbor told him he was putting his Fall Flag out, my husband replied “I’m bringing in MY AMERICAN FLAG.”  Enough said.
