SHS girls soccer team to present check to domestic violence program

The Shelton High School girls soccer team will present a check for more than $1,800 to My Sister’s Place and The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services after their soccer game. The funds were raised during this year’s summer soccer camp program. The team will present the check on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7:50 p.m. after their game at the high school’s soccer field.

My Sister’s Place, a unique thrift store and donation center, offers quality new and gently used clothing, furniture and housewares at discount prices. All proceeds from My Sister’s Place support BHcare’s The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services (UCDVS). Each year UCDVS helps more than 6,000 adults and children who are experiencing domestic violence; all services are provided free of charge.
