Shelton Police investigate pedestrian struck on Howe Ave.

Shelton Police are currently investigating an incident where a woman was hit by a vehicle on Howe Ave. Saturday, Sept. 17.

Multiple calls to police were made reporting that a pedestrian had been hit by a car in the area of Bricks and Barley Tavern and GROW restaurant just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.

EMS, Shelton Fire, and Shelton Police responded to the scene, where Lisa Taylor,32, of Naugatuck was reportedly struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Howe Ave. According to police, Taylor was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries.

The Shelton Police Department Accident reconstruction team responded to the scene and are currently investigating the accident. Any witnesses or individuals with information regarding the accident can contact the Shelton Police Department Traffic Division at (203) 924-1544 Ext. 4420.
