Girls soccer: Shelton hammers SHA

The Shelton High girls soccer team roared past Sacred Heart Academy, 8-2, to win its second straight SCC match.

Kaleigh Panek, Kathryn Arena, Kelly Hurd and Daisy Dufour each scored two goals for the Gaelettes (4-2-0).

Alyson Yacowicz and Kathryn Arena had three assists each, while Kylee Opper, Erin Keary and Maggie Howard notched one each.

Shelby Offord made seven saves and Courtney Litts two in net.

SHA fell to 1-4-1.


Shelton hosts Cheshire High (5-1) on Friday night at 7.
