Boys soccer: Shelton cruises past West Haven

The Shelton High boys soccer team beat West Haven High, 4-1, at Finn Stadium on Tuesday night in an SCC match.

Shelton jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead on the strength of goals from Nicola Lobello in the fourth minute and Isajiah Robles, assisted by Lobello, in the 15th minute.

Lobello, this time with Robles providing the helper, scored in the 52nd minute, before Alex DeMoura completed the Shelton scoring with a marker in the in the 57th. Robles assisted on DeMoura’s goal.

Daniel Morales scored in the 73rd minute for the Westies (4-5-1). Shelton outshot West Haven, 14-4.

Isaac Garcia made one save in net for Shelton. The Gaels improved to 8-2-1.
