Shelton Police arrested a Monroe man after he sideswiped five vehicles on Howe Ave. and led officers on a foot pursuit in a nearby area.
On Thursday, Nov. 3 just after 9 P.M. the Shelton Police received several 911 calls of a six vehicle accident near 550 Howe Ave. When police units arrived they discovered a Honda Accord that sideswiped five vehicles parked in the southbound lane.
According to police, a passenger in the Honda informed officers that her boyfriend, Raymond Pizarro, 21, of Monroe, was the driver of the vehicle and fled immediately after the collisions.
Officers then searched the area and allegedly spotted Pizarro running into a wooded area nearby.
Officers chased and caught Pizarro in the woods. He was charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, failure to drive right and interfering with an officer. Pizarro is due in Derby Superior court date Nov. 17 and was released on a $2,000 bond.
