Shelton High School teacher Carolyn Finley was selected as an Unsung Hero in the Saint Michael’s College Teacher Recognition Program.
“Through this program, we honor those teachers who provide their students with the academic skills and moral support necessary to be successful in post-secondary pursuits,” said Jerry Flanagan, Saint Michael’s vice president for admission and enrollment management.
Finley was nominated by Kenneth Giangregorio, who is a graduate of Shelton High School and a current first-year student at Saint Michael’s College.
“Mrs. Finley’s dedication to helping her students and our school newspaper succeed is nothing short of admirable,” said Giangregorio. “I cannot imagine my high school experience without her.”
