Shelton Police made two prostitution related arrests following reports of suspicious activity at a Bridgeport Avenue hotel Monday afternoon.
On Dec. 19 Shelton Police responded to reports of suspicious activity and heavy foot traffic in and out of a specific room on the third floor of a Bridgeport Avenue hotel.
According to police, the hotel manager stated that the majority of the visitors to the room were men.
When police responded to the reports they found Lesley Michelle Reyes, 20, of Bridgeport and Albert Beckwith, 51, of Beacon Falls. The officer’s investigation revealed Beckwith solicited Reyes for sex on the internet for a predetermined price and later met at the hotel.
Reyes was charged with prostitution and released on $1,000 bond. Beckwith was charged with patronizing a prostitute and was also released on a $1000 bond. Both are scheduled to appear in Derby Superior court on Jan. 3, 2017.
