Cos Cob limo company to carry out deliveries during coronavirus outbreak
GREENWICH — Most people think of limousines as a way to get to or from the airport, or as a luxury service for special occasions.
But during the corona outbreak, transportation businesses are taking on new roles, and Hy’s Limousine is one of them. The company, which has offices in Cos Cob, is doing deliveries and pickups around the community, meeting the need for basic transportation for those who need it.
According to Matt Levine, president of the company, the limo service is now offering to carry out deliveries.
The company will handle the following duties, for $25 an hour, “plus out of pocket costs for non-prepaid items,” he said.
Courier/Delivery Service: Hy’s will pick up and deliver your prepaid pharmacy orders, work or personal documents, or anything else that is needed.
Grocery Shopping: Hy’s will offer personalized grocery shopping and doorstep delivery
Essential Trips: Hy’s will provide transportation for any of your transportation needs — long or short — such as to appointments or offices.
According to Levine, “Our vehicles will continue to be meticulously disinfected across all surface areas after each trip. Our drivers follow all health guidelines to protect themselves and others around them.”
Levine said in an email:“The government has asked our community to stay home and social distance to ensure the safety of everyone. Unfortunately, this can put added responsibility on most families while they navigate through their ‘new normal.’ For 70 years, it has been our company mission to serve our community in the safest way possible. We would like to offer our services to assist in various ways to alleviate stress during this time.”
