Saturday morning's FCIAC championship will pit No. 1 versus No. 2, potentially making the winner the GameTimeCT No. 1-ranked team heading into the state tournament.

Wilton's semifinal win over Staples on Tuesday pushed the Warriors ahead of the Wreckers into the second spot in the GameTimeCT Boys Lacrosse Top 10 Poll.

Darien remains a unanimous No. 1 heading into the game, which was moved from Thursday night due to a funeral for Darien student Hayden Thorsen on Thursday afternoon.

This will be the third No. 1 vs. No. 2 meeting this season, all involving No. 1 Darien but a third different No. 2 in Wilton. Darien is 2-0 in these matchups, having defeated Ridgefield (15-9 on April 12) and Staples (15-10 on April 28).

There's another poll mover in Greenwich: A win over Ridgefield in the FCIAC quarters helped move the Cardinals up a spot into sixth place, just behind Fairfield Prep.

Ridgefield remained fourth, although the gap between the Tigers and Jesuits tightened. Fairfield Prep meets Cheshire in Thursday's SCC final. The Rams moved up a spot into seventh as New Canaan fell to eighth.

Interesting flip at the bottom, where Hand, fresh off a one-goal SCC semifinal loss to Cheshire, hops into ninth over Fairfield Ludlowe, which beat the Tigers last month. The Falcons have lost four out of six, all to top-six teams.

One more poll next week before the CIAC first round, and then, well, we're almost there.
