Top Connecticut high school field hockey performances from Week 7

Ellen Barto, Cheshire, F, So.: Came off the bench in the SCC semifinals and scored a goal and assisted on another to lead the Rams to a 3-0 win over Sacred Heart Academy.

Alex Cacciapaglia, Ridgefield, G, Sr.: Had five saves in a 3-1 win over Greenwich in the FCIAC quarterfinals. Had nine saves against undefeated New Canaan in the FCIAC semifinals, a 2-1 double overtime loss.

Christina Guanci, Glastonbury, F, Sr.: Had three goals in two wins, including a 1-0 CCC victory against previously unbeaten and sixth-ranked Wethersfield. Also scored two goals in a 4-0 CCC win against Southington.

Raina Johns, Darien, D, Sr.: In the FCIAC semifinals, Johns scored to give the Blue Wave a 1-0 lead over Staples and then led a defense that shut down Staples’ attack in the Darien defensive circle. Darien went on to beat Staples 2-1.

Shannon Kelleher, Newtown, M, Sr.: Scored the first goal against Immaculate in the SWC quarterfinals and the team went on to win 3-0. Kelleher’s play on the field helped the team beat Masuk 1-0 in the SWC semifinals.

Izzy Redrup, Ridgefield, F, Sr.: Scored a hat trick in a 7-2 win over Trumbull. Scored two goals in a 3-1 win over Greenwich in the FCIAC quarterfinals.

Olivia Toto, North Branford, F, Sr.: The left wing and captain scored two goals in a 3-1 win over Old Saybrook in the Shoreline Conference semifinals.
