EAST HARTFORD — Police said they are investigating an early-morning shooting Friday.

A man was shot in the lower leg at Church Corners Inn, a Main Street rooming house, hours before dawn Friday, Lt. Michael DeMaine said.

The man, who was not cooperative with investigators, is expected to recover, he said.

DeMaine said he didn’t know the man’s age or if the shooting happened inside or outside the downtown building.
