Later this month, the high-end interior design show created by the late “Dean of American Design,” Albert Hadley, is celebrating 25 years of bringing designers together to showcase their work while raising money for the ministries and missions — particularly for 18 charities within the greater Bridgeport area — at the Southport Congregational Church, 524 Pequot Avenue, Southport.

“This is our 25th year and we have been working all year to make this the biggest and best Rooms with a View yet,” says Christophe Phillip, Rooms with a View executive director. “We have an incredibly talented group of designers and have a lot in store for this special anniversary year.”

The three-day design event, running from Nov. 8-10, will feature 12 designers from across the country who are handpicked by a design committee. Each designer will create a six-foot-by-eight-foot vignette around the theme “25.” These mini-rooms are to be staged in the library and great hall of the historic, stone Gothic Revival style Southport Congregational Church.

Designers for the 25th anniversary show include Parker & Company, Sister Parish Design, J.P. Franzen Associates Architects, Ken Gemes Interiors, Adams Interior Design, Handin/Browne, Moss Design, The Lewis Group, Roughan Interiors, The Tailored Home, Alexis Parent Interiors, and Clarity Home Interiors.

Presenting Sponsor of the 25th Rooms with a View is Waterworks. Other design sponsors include Farrow & Ball, Circa Lighting, Stark Carpets, Donghia, Williams Sonoma Home, Kenneth Lynch & Son. Kenneth Lynch will also be designing the outside space in front of the church.

In celebration of this landmark anniversary, the chapel of Southport Congregational Church will be transformed into a pop-up restaurant — appropriately called, “The Hadley” — by Christian P. Arkay-Leliever.

The Shops at Rooms with a View will feature 40 vendors and artists selling jewelry, home accessories, antique prints, art, and clothing.

Rooms with a View will kick off with a gala preview party on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Guests will be treated to wine and beverages, and hors d’oeuvres by Culinary Visionaries; a silent auction will also be held. Tickets for the gala are $150.

Other events to celebrate the weekend include a musical luncheon on Friday, Nov. 8, with Paul Whitmore and Friends entertaining. Guests are invited to bring their children to decorate gingerbread houses on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Rooms with a View is open to the public Friday and Saturday, November 8 to 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 10, from 12 to 5 p.m. General admission to the show is $25. Tickets for all events may be purchased at roomswithaview.org.
