Danbury police join neighborhood watch app
DANBURY — The police department has joined an app that could help them respond to issues in the community.
The app, called Neighbors, allows residents to connect with each other and stay up-to-date on what’s going on in their neighborhood, according to the app’s website. The app provides real-time crime and safety alerts.
Police do not plan to monitor the app 24/7, but officers can view, post and respond to crime and safety related information posted on the app, the department said. Officers can also submit video requests to help with active investigations in neighborhoods.
“By working together, we can all make Danbury a safer community,” the department said on its Facebook page.
