Danbury to discuss racism, criminal justice system
DANBURY — A conversation about how to dismantle racism in the community will be continued on Wednesday evening.
The virtual forum will be held at 7 p.m. and feature Stephen Sedensky, the state’s attorney in Danbury, and Natalie Zwerger, who is in charge of a team through New York University that provides national workshop and training sessions to promote equity and racial justice.
This is the second conversation on systemic racism that DanburyWORKS, a citywide collaborative, has held since the local and nationwide protests over racism and police brutality.
The discussion will center on the criminal justice system and structural racism.
