Three state parks reach parking capacity
Three state parks have reached parking capacity on Sunday afternoon.
Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden was the first to close to new cars, followed by Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middletown and Kent Falls State Park. Wadsworth Falls was the only park to close on Saturday.
On most other weekends this summer, several state parks filled up each day.
Sleeping Giant closed at 12:30 p.m. while Wadsworth Falls did so at 1:30 p.m. and Kent Falls did so at 2 p.m., according to the Connecticut State Parks Twitter.
This story will be updated as more state parks close.
