Active case of tuberculosis found at Dartmouth College
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — A member of the Dartmouth College community has been diagnosed with an active case of tuberculosis, according to an email from the college's health services director.
The person, whose identity has not been released due to patient confidentiality laws, is currently receiving medical care off-campus, Dr. Mark Reed wrote in his email.
The person will return to campus once they have been cleared by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services' Division of Public Health Services.
The college is working to identify and contact anyone who was in close contact with this person who may need to be tested for tuberculosis, Reed wrote.
