Contributed photoSHELTON — Three Bridgeport men have been arrested after allegedly firing a gun in woods in the area of Leavenworth and Indian Hill roads, police said.
Lt Robert Kozlowsky said police received a report of three males firing a gun in the woods around Indian Hill Road on Jan. 10. Kozlowsky said the men got in a truck and left the area.
“Officers stopped the vehicle and located a firearm in the vehicle,” said Kozlowsky, adding that the trio were arrested at 3:22 p.m. on Jan. 10.
Jhonatan Sadyt Palencia-Garcia, 21, Marco Antonio Rivera-Garcia, 24, and Mauricio Jesus Valiente-Garcia, 27, were arrested for carrying a pistol without a permit, conspiracy to commit carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal discharge of a firearm, conspiracy to commit illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree breach of peace, conspiracy to commit second-degree breach of peace, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, and conspiracy to commit illegal possession of a large capacity magazine.
All three each received a $10,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.
