The Broadway adaptation of the classic musical, Cinderella, will kick off the 2022 season at Center Stage Theatre in Shelton on Friday, Feb. 18.

The season is the venue’s 17th season of shows.

Featuring an unforgettable score from Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, the version of the show, which debuted on Broadway in 2013, features a brand-new book from librettist Douglas Carter Beane.

With several new characters, and two new songs, “Me, Who Am I?” and “He Was Tall,” along with “Loneliness of Evening” and “There’s Music in You” from earlier versions, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” remains the heartfelt tale of the girl from the cinders, who connects with her prince.

Performances run Friday, Feb. 18, through Sunday, Feb. 27, with shows on Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.

There will be two special weeknight performances on Wednesday, Feb. 23, and Thursday, Feb. 24.

The performances will start at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale now at centerstageshelton.org. Adults are $36. Students are $18.
