The road from Constitution Boulevard to Platt Road, which had been closed since Tuesday night due to a downed trees and wires, is now reopened, according to police.
United Illuminating had been on the scene today, Wednesday, Dec. 18, handling the downed wires. The tree fell during the storm about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the 400 block of Long Hill Avenue taking down wires and blocking the roadway. The road has been closed from Constitution Boulevard to Platt Road since the tree fell during the storm.
