FAIRFIELD — Police say they are investigating after a man showed a gun to two women at Sasco Beach on Sunday evening.

Fairfield police spokesperson Lt. Michael Paris said the department received a report of a man with a "bullhorn" who eventually asked two college-aged women who were nearby "if they wanted to see his gun."

The two women drove away after the man showed them what appeared to be a firearm, Paris said.

The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m., Paris said. The man involved may have been driving a dark sedan, according to police, but no further description of the car was available.

Police are also looking for video evidence from the area.

No threats were made during the incident, but Paris said police are continuing to investigate.
