Two possible leaks were reported earlier in the day, on Howe Avenue and Coram Avenue. The employees from Yankee Gas (now officially known as Eversource Energy) have been on-scene since about noon, searching and digging for a possible leak source.

The suspected leak location is just outside the Subway sandwich shop, on the section of Bridge Street that connects Howe Avenue with the U.S. post office parking lot.

Yankee  Gas (Eversource) is the natural gas provider in Shelton.

Shelton Fire Department personnel also are at the scene to provide any assistance needed. A police officer is present as well. All roads are now open, with no unusual delays.
