Governor orders flags in CT to half-staff on Sunday

American and Connecticut flags should fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, Dec, 14 in honor of the 20 children and six adults who died two years ago at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has issued the directive to mark the solemn anniversary.

On Dec. 14, 2012, a gunman entered the school and shot and killed 26 people. The gunman, who lived in Newtown, also killed his mother and himself.
