SHELTON — Trash and recycling will not be affected by the July 4 holiday week, city officials said.

Residents are advised to put out their trash and recycling on their normally scheduled day.

The City Yard and transfer station will both be closed on Monday, July 5, in recognition of the Independence Day holiday.
