SHELTON — A large tree fell on a house and a vehicle on Tuesday, according to fire officials.

Fire crews from Ansonia and Derby responded on the call, as Shelton fire crews were working at the scene of an active condo fire on Mica Court when the incident was reported.

Ansonia fire officials from the Eagle Hose Hook & Ladder Co. No. 6 said units responded for a report of a tree that fell on a car. Firefighters found a large tree on a house and a vehicle on Sanford Drive.

Officials said the vehicle sustained moderate damage, with photos from the scene by fire crews showing the top of the front of the car crushed by the tree. The tree made a small hole in the roof of the home, but it was still deemed structurally sound and the occupants were allowed back inside.

There were no injuries reported.
