Legislators talk to the public over coffee

State Sen. Kevin Kelly (R-21) and state Reps. Jason Perillo (R-113) and Larry Miller (R-122) joined constituents for a "Coffee With Your Legislators" event at the Plaza Diner on Bridgeport Avenue recently.

"Hearing from the residents of Shelton on the issues they care about is crucial to the democratic process," said Perillo. "I want to know what you have to say about what can do to rejuvenate Connecticut's economy," said Jason Perillo.

The legislators spoke with constituents about the 2012 legislative session, including the state budget, job creation, economic development, education reform and many other issues.

"It is always a pleasure to speak with taxpayers over a cup of coffee," said Kelly. "During this year's legislative session, I focused on the important issues of jobs, the economy, our seniors, and more. I am always interested in hearing your thoughts on these issues."
