A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, snow and snow pellets has been falling on Monday morning. (Feb. 9 morning photos by Brad Durrell)

As of about 8 a.m., freezing rain was fallen, building up on car windshields. By 8:20 or so, the precipitation had changed to mostly snow — and it was coming down at a good clip.

A few minutes later, the snow had stopped but another form of precipitation continued. And by 8:45, it was snowing again.

Traffic is light and plows are out. It appears that since last night, only about a half inch to an inch of snow has fallen in Shelton. Some snow is covering roads but on main roads, there also is plenty of blacktop visible in most spots as well.
